Journey to the unknown

All journeys have to start somewhere but in most it would be almost impossible to predict where they finish except in the very shortest.
They are mainly measured in distance travelled but even more importantly in time passed.
Distance travelled allows for a return journey whereas time passed is one way.

This is one such journey.

My wife Noreen & I with Pauline in 1966.

Other important events happened in this year - England won it's one and only World Cup and are now on mission impossible?
Colour Tv first shown on BBC.
On a more serious note a bishop in Ireland protested when a woman on the Late Late Show admitted that she did not wear a nightie on her wedding night - parishioners showing too much free will ?

As you would expect in a period of 54 years a lot of things happened both good and not so.

All of Noreen's siblings and her father died and in my family 2 brothers and a sister died in tragic circumstances.

However the good things are somewhat personal and numerous so there will be no itemizing for these.

Last year my wife of 55 years Noreen died on 4th July - this has put everything else to the background for the present

This is where we were before our journey was seriously interrupted last year.
